I hope you had a great weekend! I hope you did something you really like to do. Here is the summary of this week's work: 1) We have in introduction to weather - Bill Nye movie and questions. He teaches us a lot about climate and how it does have an impact on the weather. 2) I am Canadian project - I can't wait to see this!! So please get this one done! 3) What's my perimeter 4) Math share - trying out something new called flipgrid - check it out! 5) Artist In Residence - I am so excited we are doing some mindfulness work with our Artist Mrs. Pavey! I think we will learn lots of great strategies over the next few weeks! It is very exciting that we can still work with an artist digitally! 6) A googleform to help us out with another fun game! I hope you all had a great weekend. I have our assignments ready for you! 1) Newspaper article about your pet. If you don't have a pet you can chose another idea. 2) Math: area work - try playing around with the online blocks and test out different areas then do the the activity. 3) Math: Guess my number - try to figure out what the number could be. 4) Who am I survey.....answer the questions so we can play the game and guess who the answers belong to OPTIONAL - this means you don't have to do it but you can. We posted a few blogs and they have lots of ideas for you too. Check them out;) I have quite a few historical novels handed in way to go 5-2! Keep up the great work. I hope everyone had a great weekend. I can't wait for more sun! Remember we will have a regular Google Meet session at 11am every Thursday. Tuesday 11:00 ask your teacher for help session. Only come to the session if you have questions about the work. For this week's classroom materials please refer to the Classwork Section in in Google Classroom. It includes: 1) A fun lesson from Miss Esser 2) Thursday - we will go over decimals one more time and play some kahoot. 3) We will have an activity around a story called Hummingbird 4) Some fractions and decimal questions - see what you can do. 5) Math T-shirt problem 6) Please continue with Read Theory to build your reading comprehension and try to read some books that are not attached to screens. 7) Don't forget about your math IXL if you have done all fractions and decimal work you can move to area and perimeter work. 8) Need more stuff??? Try some of the challenges on this blog and send in your photos! I only have one so far. You may have to scroll down or visit the other pages.
